Class of 2020 – Senior portraits

Senior Spotlight – Though the end of the school year for the Class of 2020 is a challenge, it certainly does not define these incredible students and their hard work over their last four years in high school. Their future is a bright one, and I am excited to hear what they do with it.

Congratulations to Isabella! She is graduating from Juan Diego Catholic High School and plans to attend the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, majoring in Social Anthropology.

What was your most listened to song on your morning commute this year?

Lost, by Frank Ocean

Which school tradition are you most proud of?

Every time there is a birthday in our friend group we would skip a bit of school and go out for lunch.

What was the most memorable school event of the year?

Going to post-football game ice cream with all my friends!

If you were in charge of planning a concert for the school, which three artists would you bring?

Post Malone, Foster The People, and One Direction

What was the most enjoyable book you had to read for school this year?

Sarem, by Edward Rutherford

Who was your favorite teacher throughout all of high school and why?

My favorite teacher from high-school is Mr. Hauser. He was the funniest and most engaging teacher I had the pleasure of knowing, and he made every class so much fun.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully I have a job that I love that is supporting my family and I, or maybe traveling the country by van.

What is your best school memory?

Getting to spend everyday with my best friends.

Name 3 things you would tell your freshman self.

  • Trust your gut, 9 times out of 10 you are going to know whats best for you.
  • Recognize that people are going to come in and out of your life, but the way you act can change how that happens and how you come back from it.
  • Spend as much time with your friends in and out of school as possible.

Describe your senior year in three words.

Frustrating, Emotional, Heartwarming

What advice would you give to future seniors?

Go to all the events, all the friend hangouts, anything that allows you to connect and be with your people, because before you know it, there won’t be anymore football games or dances.

Congratulations Isabella!
