Class of 2020 – Senior Portraits

Senior Spotlight – Though the end of the school year for the Class of 2020 is a challenge, it certainly does not define these incredible students and their hard work over their last four years in high school. Their future is a bright one, and I am excited to hear what they do with it.

Congratulations to Sophie! She is graduating from De Pere High School, and plans to attend UW Eau Claire with a major in Nursing.

What was your most listened to song on your morning commute this year?

Eighteen by Khalid

Which school tradition are you most proud of?

My school’s Mr. De Pere talent show. It’s a hilarious talent show that the senior boys put on for the school.

What was the most memorable school sporting event of the year?

Redbird Rally, it’s my school’s little version of the homecoming football game.

If you were in charge of planning a concert for the school, which three artists would you bring?

Khalid, Lana Del Rey, and AJR

What was the most enjoyable book you had to read for school this year?

Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Who was your favorite teacher throughout all of high school and why?

Mrs. Zielinski, she was a very caring teacher who wanted to hear about your day or how you really were doing. Although she was a busy teacher, she would always check in on us and would always help us with our school and personal problems.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully working my dream job as a nurse.

What is your best school memory?

Dancing at prom with my best friends

Name 3 things you would tell your freshman self.

  • Take many pictures to capture the amazing moments
  • The friends you had in middle school may not be the friends you’ll have when you graduate but that’s ok because you will make new amazing friends
  • Get involved with school activities and clubs.

What advice would you give to future seniors?

Do not take advantage of the moments you share with your friends; eventually you will have to come to terms with the fact that everyone will carry on their own path after high school. Make sure to attend every major school event you can and don’t take anything for granted.

Congratulations Sophie!
